Of Moss & Moonlight

Of Moss & Moonlight is a living world - it doesn’t just remember what you’ve done, it forms an opinion.

About Of Moss & Moonlight

Of Moss & Moonlight is built on magnetic, lore-rich characters who react to tone, history, and choice - then keep the receipts. Forever. We recommend making a good first impression. Or at least an interesting one.

Captured in-engine from the Of Moss & Moonlight prototype. Visuals are early and evolving.

About Of Moss & Moonlight

Of Moss & Moonlight is built around characters who remember what you do, what you say, and how you treat them. Be kind, be rude, be awkward, disappear for a week, flirt with the wrong person - they'll notice.

These characters are authored and intentional, not shallow cardboard cut-outs. Dialogue doesn't repeat. Conversations aren't forgotten. Characters don't go back to acting like they met you five minutes ago. What you say, what you do, and what you withhold all shape how the world and characters respond to you over time.

You can absolutely try to play it cool. Let us know how that goes.

Magic remembers. Even the awkward bits. Especially the awkward bits.

Inspired by the wonder of classic fairy tales, folklore, and enchanted forests, the world of Of Moss & Moonlight is built in Vinebright’s Enchanted Realism style - grounded, atmospheric, and alive with believable magic.

A village with lantern-lit paths. Herbariums that breathe. Apothecary shelves lined with amber glass. Streams beneath stone bridges, flickering with movement. Seven unique Holdings - each with their own feel, rules, and kind of magic. Some of it is very beautiful. Some of it is mildly concerning.

Of Moss & Moonlight will draw you in - and it never plays the same way twice. Mostly because you’ll do something different. Whether you meant to or not.

Our Inspiration for the World of Of Moss & Moonlight

This is where we start exploring the feel of the world. These aren’t part of our art process. They’re ways of imagining the tone, atmosphere, and feeling of our world before concept work begins.

It starts with a mood. Then a question. Then suddenly everything’s glowing and someone’s made it personal.
